Tarahir refers to the former capital city of the Tarahiri Empire. Tarahiri refers to people that formally inhabited the city of Tarahir and the Tarahiri Empire on Anias. They are a civilised and literate human culture and are described as olive skinned with a variety of physical appearances. Once under the rule of the Tarahiri Empire they, in recent times were ruled by the Orsai Empire who had taken control over large portions of Anias, finally ending in the sacking of the former Tarahir capital.

Rulership
The lands of the Tarahiri are currently ruled by the Theocracy of Asut. A priesthood that worships the god Memra and has band the practice of magic within its borders.
Language
The language they speak is Tarahir common.
Location
They Tarahiri empire controlled most of Anias in its heyday and its capital city, Tarahir is located in the middle of Anias near the southern foothill of the Juras Mountains.

The Orsai Empire has recently destroyed the city of Tarahir, its people have fled or were put to death.
City of Tarahir - Recent History
Tarahir’s influence finally declined, it remained an important trading post but it was long past its prime. After the empires fall, the lands of the Tarahiri were conquered by the Orsai creating the Orsai Empire. As religious intolerance threatened the various people of the Orsai Empire, many fled to the foothill of the Juras Mountains forming new kingdoms, north of Tarahir. Over several decades these kingdoms and the city of Tarahir formed the Tarahiri Confederation. The confederations purpose was to rebuild the glory of the Tarahiri Empire. This rebellion lead to the final destruction of the city.
City of Tarahir - Ancient History
Tarahir started as a small trading post at the centre of the lands of several groups of powerful tribesmen, it expanded to become the first important human city which controlled important trade routes between the western sea and the eastern plains of Anias. At the centre of the Tarahiri Empire, the city of Tarahir ruled over nearly all the lands south of the Juras Mountains. Tarahir was home to the founding of the Order of the Lords of Magic, the Narsin, wizards of incredible power.
