The Great Desert stretches across most of the southern part of Anias, with its northern most reach being the foothills of Tarahir, prior to the Juras Mountains.

The people of the great desert are mainly human tribesmen, from whom sprung the Orsai Empire under the rule of the Theocracy of Asut.

The language of the Great Desert is Chanit. This is the ancient language used by the guardians of Asut and is the the official language of the Theocracy of Asut.
